Best Places to Propose in South Florida — Complete Location Guide
Best Places to Propose in South Florida: A Complete Location Guide

We've set up marriage proposals all across South Florida — from the glittering waterfront of Miami Beach to quiet garden parks in Boca Raton. After planning hundreds of proposals in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties, here's our honest guide to the best locations in every city we serve.
Each location below links to its dedicated proposal planning page with full details on spots, pricing, and logistics.
Fort Lauderdale
Our home base — and one of the most consistently beautiful cities to propose in South Florida. Fort Lauderdale Beach at golden hour is hard to beat. The New River corridor at Las Olas offers a more intimate, city-meets-water setting. Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is our top pick for couples who want nature without leaving the city.
Best for: Sunsets, waterfront setups, beach arches

Miami
Miami proposals tend to be larger, more dramatic, and more photographed than anywhere else. South Pointe Park and the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens are the two spots that consistently deliver the best results. Brickell Key works beautifully for rooftop and skyline proposals. Miami's energy is unmatched — if you want a proposal that feels cinematic, this is the city.
Best for: Luxury setups, iconic backdrops, large floral installations
→ Plan your Miami proposal
Boca Raton
Boca has some of the most underrated proposal locations in South Florida. Spanish River Park — with its bridges, lagoons, and ocean access — is consistently one of our favorite setups. The clientele in Boca tends to go for refined, elegant arrangements rather than over-the-top. Luxury without excess.
Best for: Upscale intimate setups, garden and beach hybrid locations
→ Plan your Boca Raton proposal
Hollywood Beach
The Broadwalk is one of South Florida's most recognizable stretches of coastline — 2.5 miles of open ocean, active energy, and gorgeous sunsets. If you want the moment to feel alive and celebratory, Hollywood Beach delivers. North Beach Park is the quieter alternative for couples who want the same backdrop without the foot traffic.
Best for: Sunset ocean proposals, active and romantic energy
→ Plan your Hollywood Beach proposal
Hallandale Beach
Between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Hallandale Beach has an uncrowded, laid-back feel that works beautifully for proposals. Village Beach Park is private and calm. The Intracoastal side gives you waterfront without ocean crowds. Great value for couples who want a quality setup without the logistics of Miami.
Best for: Private setups, couples who want calm over crowd
→ Plan your Hallandale Beach proposal
Sunny Isles Beach
Sunny Isles sits between Miami Beach and Aventura — surrounded by luxury high-rises, with a wide, clean beach that's surprisingly uncrowded. The clientele here skews international and upscale. Proposals in Sunny Isles tend to include premium setups with 100+ candles and large arches.
Best for: Luxury international clientele, upscale oceanfront
→ Plan your Sunny Isles Beach proposal
Aventura
Oleta River State Park is the hidden gem of Aventura proposals — lush, green, and quiet, minutes from the highway. The Turnberry Isle Marina area is the upscale alternative for couples who want a yacht-adjacent backdrop. Aventura is ideal for couples who want something polished but not beachy.
Best for: Nature-park and marina setups, non-beach romantic scenes
→ Plan your Aventura proposal
Pompano Beach
Pompano's pier is one of the best in the county for a proposal — open beach on both sides, dramatic sunset views, and enough space for a full floral setup. The Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse area adds an old-Florida charm that you don't find in Miami or Fort Lauderdale. One of our most requested North Broward locations.
Best for: Pier proposals, vintage Florida aesthetic, North Broward couples
→ Plan your Pompano Beach proposal
Dania Beach
John U. Lloyd Beach State Park is one of the few untouched barrier island beaches left in Broward County. No high-rises, no crowds — just a natural beachfront that photographs beautifully. Minutes from Fort Lauderdale, it feels like a world away.
Best for: Natural, undeveloped beach settings, photography-first couples
→ Plan your Dania Beach proposal
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
LBTS has an Old Florida charm that's rare and genuinely romantic. Anglin's Pier with its fishing village feel, calm reef beaches, and local restaurants create an atmosphere that feels intimate and unhurried. Perfect for couples who want something genuinely different from the polished South Florida setup.
Best for: Intimate Old Florida character, reef beach, vintage romantic feel
→ Plan your Lauderdale-by-the-Sea proposal
Deerfield Beach
Between Pompano and Boca, Deerfield Beach is a relaxed authentic Florida beach town. The International Fishing Pier is a classic and photogenic proposal spot. Quiet Waters Park offers something completely different — a freshwater lake setting that's great for couples who want nature without sand.
Best for: Relaxed authentic Florida vibe, pier proposals, park alternatives

How to Choose the Right Location
A few questions that help us guide every couple:
- Beach or no beach? Some partners love the ocean; others prefer garden or city settings. Know your partner's preference before committing to a location.
- Public or private? Public beaches allow anyone to walk through. Parks with permits or private venues give you more control over the moment.
- Sunset or daytime? Golden hour (roughly 5–7 PM year-round in Florida) photographs best. If timing matters to you, plan the proposal at least 30 minutes before sunset.
- How far to travel? If you're staying in Miami, a Fort Lauderdale setup adds 45 minutes of drive time. We handle logistics, but keep your partner's comfort in mind.
